its really cute towards the end.
i especially like Rooney's young movies too - the Andy Hardy series of falling in love.

Black and white films have this nostalgia. And only the genre has singing and dancing and actors were expected to do everything.
Everything spoke more than the colors they exuded.
there's just some essence which films nowadays can't give.

Richard Gere and Ben Affleck reminds me of Gene Kelly, i think they look alike.
The Wizard of Oz (1939) - Judy Garland
Happy Days (1974) - TV series with Ron Howard whom i had a crush on...he is the director for movies such as A Beautiful Mind, Grinch Stole Christmas & more)

Cover Girl - with Rita Hayworth whom is so tall & beautiful.
Gone with the Wind (1939) - i watched this on TCM. about war & love.
Rebel without a Cause (1955) - about a boy and his father & growing up. starring James Dean. that was his last film before his death in his favourite porsche which well, as stated in wiki as the 'little bastard' which was cursed. the wiki page is very indepth and scary. go read it.

there was this other film with the song 'the girl on this street'..can't seem to remember the film title..

Who were they? Young guys in Yellow & Green Football Jerseys, Soccer shoes and white socks, looked Spanish, Brazilian, French.. gathering at Republic Plaza Tower 1?

which team were they?
was smoking a cigarette yesterday around 3pm and a bunch of guys in soccer gear appeared over at Republic Plaza tower 1. they were wearing Yellow and Green jerseys and shorts with white socks and soccer shoes.
most were Brazilian or Spanish, seemed French and from Europe.. some dark-skinned some fair.
most were...ok, ALL of them were good looking, (young, early 20s, well-built and cute) seriously. they started to gather at the entrance and surrounded behind me waiting for their coach.
i didn't spot any name of the team or country on their shirts..maybe i did but..apologies, i don't watch soccer.

as i finished, i made my way through the gaps between them. they were tall and well-built as i squirmed between the 10-15 of them.
they exuded a relaxed mode, chatting at the entrance area in sunny Singapore and as i passed through i felt curious glances as if to say, 'hey man, why didn't she go gaga over us dude?'
not being attracted nor fantasized.
but i do recall seeing a young smiling handsome african-american-french and glistening smile , hair-free guy.
i wondered who they were.

this made me go 'hmm...'
Brazil Olympic team to play friendly match in Singapore - they arrived on 23rd July
and after doing a check, apparently, only Brazil teams wear yellow and green...

hmm.

a few other office ladies whom were a distanced away were heard mentioning 'soccer...singapore' and eyeing them.
hoping to be soccer wives?

blogger-sabrina's entry of the new show Beach Ball Babes mentioning Pan Ling Ling as ever as gorgeous (my favourite gorgeous woman!) and there was a clip on old SBC tv series.
it brought back fond memories and well, there were actually many on youtube!

I hope Media Corp comes up with DVDs of all the tv series back in the 90s and 80s from SBC.
