How can you Participate in Geek Enuf Contest?

Step 1 : Join the TATA DOCOMO community in Orkut, follow TATA DOCOMO on twitter and/or be a TATA DOCOMO fan on Facebook.
Step 2 : Take the Geek Enuf quiz using any of your Facebook, Twitter or Orkut Profile.
Step 3 : Get a positive score and enter the Geek Hall of the Fame. The person with highest score wins the Samsung Galaxy i7500 everyday!

There are two stages in the contest. Participation in this contest, and becoming elegible for the prizes is subject to successful clearing of these two stages :

Stage 1 – the participant needs to be a member / fan / follower of the official Tata DOCOMO identity on the social networking platforms (as the case may be for Orkut, Facebook and Twitter, respectively).
Stage 2 – In this stage, the participant is provided with a set of 10 multiple choice questions, each with varying levels of difficulty.

The incremental points that these questions carry are directly proportional to their level of difficulty. Thus the easiest one has the lowest marks and the most difficult one has the highest marks
Each participant is given 90 seconds in all to attempt to answer these questions
However each ‘wrong answer’ would mean that the ‘marks’ of the question, which has been responded wrongly would be deducted from the total score of the respondent

If Pranav Mistry has his way, people around the world can build their own wearable 'SixthSense' --which uses a camera that understands human gestures -- at a cost of less than Rs 15,000 ($300) by obtaining the software he developed for free in the next few months.

Mistry, a PhD student in Pattie Maes' Fluid Interfaces Group at MIT's Media Lab, is the genius behind SixthSense, a wearable device that enables new interactions between the real world and the world of data.

"I notice that it's hard to for these kind of things to market in some sense. . . because I don't want this to comply with some of kind of corporate policy," he told PTI in Mysore on Friday on the sidelines of TED conference being held in India for the first time.

"Rather than waiting for that time to come, I want people to make their own system. Why not?"

"People will be able to make their own hardware. I will give them instructions how to make it. And also provide them key software...give them basic key software layers. . . they will be able to build their own applications. They will be able to modify base level and do anything".

MIT Media Lab’s Pranab Mistry demonstrated the latest version of his Sixth-Sense wearable gesture interface at the TEDIndia conference

on Thursday, where he showed how it could be used to compute using just a piece of paper. Sixthsense was first presented by Mistry at a TED conference in February 2009.

In his latest demo, he attached a microphone to the paper and was able to use it as a touch interface, play 3D games, watch movies, and seamlessly transition work between a PC and his interface.

The demo received a huge round of applause from the audience at TED, but he saved the best for last.”I am trying to make this tech available to people, and I will provide all the open source software for Sixth sense starting next month.” said Pranav Mistry when talking to the host Chris Anderson.

Using the Windows Recovery Console

The Windows 2000 and Windows XP CDs supplied by Microsoft has a tool called the Recovery Console which can be used to repair errors that prevent Windows XP from starting using the command line. OEM versions of Windows XP, including computers that were supplied with Windows XP preinstalled, may not have this utility.

Insert the Windows CD and start the computer.
When the Welcome to Setup screen appears, press R.
Type a number corresponding to the Windows installation you wish to repair (usually 1) and press Enter.
When prompted, type the administrator password and press Enter.
From the command prompt, copy NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM from the i386 folder of the CD to the root folder of the hard drive. In the example commands given below, C: is the hard drive and D: is the CD-ROM drive. You will need to change the drive letters if appropriate:
COPY D:\I386\NTLDR C:\
COPY D:\I386\NTDETECT.COM C:\
Remove the Windows XP CD from the drive and restart the computer.

GTA 4 on Windows XP sp2 cheats and tricks

GTA 4 asks for atleast Windows XP SP3. But it doesn't really need that.

U can make it work( or play actually ) on Windows XP sp2 (which most people have and is the best windOS before Windows 7)

So How Can I make GTA IV work on my old Windows XP sp2 computer ?

Simple.

Modify your registry to fool GTA into thinking u have sp3.

Step 1: Run Regedit by Clicking on Start -> Run , type in "regedit" and press enter
Step 2: Make a backup of your registry (just in case) by File > Export
Step 3: Browse to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Control\ Windows"
Step 4: Modify the value of "CSDVersion" from "0x00000200" (SP2) to the Windows XP SP3 value of "0x00000300" (By double clicking on CSDVersion)
Step 5: Close registry editor
Step 6: Reboot
Step 7: Start GTA

Type them into ur GTA mobile phone.

Walk by the train path which is heading towards 2nd island, to track this path approach bridge which takes you to the 2nd island and has a train path underneath. When you are in middle you should be able to have up to 6 start wanted level. Then you have to stand on train track for 5 minutes to get the achievement. Police cannot shoot you as they are on the bridge right above you also the helicopters.

While running away from the cops barely leave leave the circle which you see in your radar and sit their for 5 seconds. They look for you in that circular area and if you leave the circle and other cop sees you it shall change.

Easier HeadShots

Headshots count alot and some times its harder to get them but with some practice you can gain some perfection. Hit Auto Aim and then use right side analog stick to move auto aim targets around your victim's body, now barely move the stick when you are shooting and it shhit bullets in their heads and chestand instant kill.

Faster Travel

While driving you will waste alot of time so to avoid it call a taxi it shall take you to your desired destination, you can also skip through taxi ride, which allows you to travel whole city in 10 seconds, this can be done in missions as well.

Helicopter along with Rockets

If you want to unlock the helicopter with rockets you have to collect all 200 pigeons.

Buddy Bonuses

Unlock specific characters frienship ability by gaining mentioned friendship level.
1: BRUCE likes to play bowling, easting food, drinking, strip clubs, helirides, boating and his special ability is unlocked at 70%. If you call Bruce he will come up with his chopper which shall help you travel faster in different parts of city.
2: PACKIE enjoys Strip clubs, shows, bowling, drinking, eating and his special ability is unlocked at 75%. To make a car bomb call packie and he will make it for you.
3: ROMAN has interests in bowling, drinking, eating, darts, pool, strip club, shows and his special ability unlocked at 60%. If you call Roman he will send you a cab for no charge.
4: LITTLE JACOB likes shows, darts, strip club, eating, drinking, pool and his special ability unlocked at 60%. Call jacob and he will come with a car full of guns for you to buy.

To Unlock Rastah Color Huntley SUV you have to successfully complete 10 package delivery mission.

Wheelie Rider Achievement

Grab a motor bike and approach Francis International airport then go to the one end of runway, now accelerate your bike and do a wheelie, to do this you have to press left analog stick down for 500 feet to get this achievement. Runway is ideal here because here you have a very long and clean path where you can drive without any trouble.

Rolled Over Achievement

Get a fast car and go to the runway e.g Super GT, Infernus etc. Find a yellow ramp scattered along the runway grass then hit one of the ramp with high speed in a way that only half of your car hits the ramp, this will give you enough spins to get the achievement.

At Algonquin Bridge which connects Dukes to Algonquin locate the part where the lanes split at the bridhge when going towards westbound. There is a small ramp at the split, hit that ramp at very high speed and it shall roll over your car several times and if you land in the lower area you will get more spins.

Walk Free Achievement

Go to the airport runway in a car, get out of car and you will instantly score a four star wanted level which you require to get the achievement. Now drive or run to the end of runway and you will get the achievement.

Find cops and if you kill them your wanted level will rise. When you have scored 4 star wanted level get into the vehicle and drive into subway tunnel. As soon as you leave the flashing wanted circle and your wanted level disappears you will score the achievement.

Join The Midnight Club Achievement

To get the achievement keep joining and quitting games/matches until you become the host. Then setup the lap no to 1 and start a new helicopter race with few opponents.

There is a detergent inside the laundromat which is being used and displayed above the back washing machine is Jizz! Big Washing Power, its an obvious attempt at cruel humor.

Chain Reaction Achievement

To get this achievement, make a traffic jam in the enclosed area e.g booth tunnel, you can do this by blocking off both lanes with two automobiles. When cars back up, steal some of them and squeeze them in between others so that there are 3 or 4 next to each other then throw a grenade at automobiles in front and use the RPG to destroy the others.

Brown Note Reference

Around Faustin's house there is a reference to a great legendary musical note. When you are in that area go to dead end about a block away towards the water. Now hop over the fence which is on your left while you are facing the water, there should be a man sitting on a beach reading a book with title "The Brown Note". Musician's joke that this is a note that when played causes bowel movements by the person playing it.

Cops names

During the intermission sequence for the "I'll Get Her" mission, look closely behind Gerry Mcreary. There is a whiteboard for shift changes for the prison guards. Some of their names are Phil McCrevis (feel my crevice) and Richard Head (dick head).

Bowling alley logo

During the bowling date with Michelle, when you enter the bowling alley notice the neon bowling alley sign. Look closely to see that it resembles male genitalia.

Prank phone calls

Take note of phone numbers on graffiti or ads on buildings on in the subway. Call those numbers on Niko's cellphone to make a prank phone call.

Keep more cars

At the start of the game it would appear that you can only save two cars parked in the "Residents Parking Only" parking spaces in front of your safe house. However if you can find other "Residents Parking Only" places around the city, you can also save cars there even if you do not have a safe house at those locations yet.

Stay on trucks

Once you have jumped on a truck keep tapping the [Jump] and Niko will stay on. Note this does not work all the time, and if he falls he loses a small amount of health.

Swim under city

Go to the north part of the map, just northwest of Butterfly Street in Bohan. Once there, get down to the outskirts of the land and walk towards the corner between the brick wall and the cliff. You can walk through the invisible wall. Lookup towards the city to see the city from below. You can also continue onwards and swim under the city.

Launch up stairs

When walking or running up stairs, jump at the first step to skip or sometimes launch yourself up the stairs.

Police database

Use a computer at a TW@ Internet Cafe to go to the Liberty City Police Department site at "www.libertycitypolice.com". Click the "Database" tab at the bottom of the home page to get informationon all characters, including Roman and Niko.

You can Date

You can date people from the in-game Internet. When looking at their profile click "Date". You then have to wait a few in-game days for a negative or positive reply via email. If your date accepts, reply to their email and meet them.

Tossed by friend

Invite a friend to hang out with you. Gently nudge him with your car, enough to knock him over but not enough to hurt him. After a few times, he will open the car door and throw you out.

· Chicago: Eating in a place that is on fire is forbidden.

· Cicero: Humming on public streets on Sundays prohibited.

· Evanston: Unlawful to change clothes in an automobile with the curtains drawn, except in case of fire.

· Kenilworth: Roosters must be at least three hundred feet away from any residence if he wishes to crow.

Kansas

· Wichita: A father cannot frighten his daughter's boyfriend with a gun.

· Natoma, it's against the law to practice knife-throwing at men wearing striped suits.

Kentucky

· "No female shall appear in a bathing suit on any highway within this state unless she be escorted by at least two officers or unless she be armed with a club."

Minnesota

· Alexandria: Illegal for a husband to make love to his wife if his breath smells like garlic, onions, or sardines. The wife can by law force her husband to brush her teeth.

· Blue Earth: Law declares that no child under the age of twelve may talk over the telephone unless accompanies by a parent.

Missouri

· Kansas City: Minors are not allowed to purchase cap pistols; they can, however, buy shotguns freely.

· Merryville: Women are prohibited from wearing corsets because "The privilege of admiring the curvaceous, unencumbered body of a young woman should not be denied to the normal, red-blooded American male."

· St. Louis: Illegal to sit on the curb of any city street and drink beer from a bucket.

Montana

· Bozeman: You can't perform any sexual acts in the front yard of any home, after sundown, and if you are nude (socks is OK).

· Helena: A woman cannot dance on a saloon table unless her clothing weights more than three pounds, two ounces.

Nebraska

· A parent can be arrested if his child cannot hold back a burp during a church service.

· A motorist approaching a horse at night must send up warning red rockets and Roman candles, throw a scenic tarpaulin over his car to conceal it from the horse, and take his machine apart and hide the parts in the grass it the tarpaulin doesn't soothe the horse.

· Hastings: Hotel owners are required by law to provide a clean, white cotton nightshirt to each guest. According to the law, no couple may have sex unless they are wearing the nightshirts.

· Omaha: It is against the law for a barber to shave a man's chest.

Nevada

· It is illegal to drive a camel on the highway.

· Sex without a condom is considered illegal.

· Eureka: Men who wear moustaches are forbidden from kissing women.

New Hampshire

· It is against the law to tap your feet, nod your head or in any way keep time to the music in a tavern, restaurant or cafe.

New Jersey

· Cresskill: Cats must wear three bells to warn birds of their whereabouts.

· Liberty Corner: Any couple making out inside a vehicle, and accidentally sounding the horn during their lustful act, may be taken to jail.

· Trenton: Unlawful to throw any tainted pickles in the streets (good pickles, however).

New Mexico

· Carlsbad: During lunch breaks no couple should engage in a sexual act while parked in their vehicle, unless their car has curtains.

· Carrizozo: It is forbidden for a female to appear unshaven in public (includes legs and face).

New York

· Albany: Disallowed to play golf in the streets.

· Carmel: A man cannot go outside wearing unmatching jacket and pants.

· Greene: Illegal to eat peanuts and walk backwards on the sidewalk during a concert.

· NYC: Illegal for a man to turn around and look "at a woman in that way", and violators are forced to wear horse blinders.

· Rochester: Firemen must wear ties while on duty.

· It's against the law in New York City to open or close an umbrella in the presence of a horse.

North Carolina

· It is illegal to take a dear swimming in water above its knees.

· Asheville: You can't sneeze on the streets.

· Barber: Cats and dogs are not allowed to fight.

· Thomasville: No airplanes are allowed to fly over the town on Sundays during the hours between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

· Winston-Salem: It is against the law for children under seven years of age to go to college.

North Dakota

· Beer and pretzels cannot be served at the same time in any bar or restaurant.

· Illegal to go to bed wearing boots or shoes.

Ohio

· Berea: Any animal that is out after dark must have a tail light.

· Cleveland: Women are not allowed to wear patent-leather shoes.

· Cleveland: Operating a motor vehicle while sitting in another person's lap is forbidden.

· Oxford: Illegal for a woman to strip off her clothing while standing in front of a man's picture.

· Paulding: A policeperson may bite a dog to quiet him.

· Portsmouth: The law ranks baseball players with "vagrants, thieves and other suspicious characters."

· Youngstown: Running out of gas is illegal.

· If you ignore an orator on Decoration day to such an extent as to publicly play croquet or pitch horseshoes within one mile of the speaker's stand, you can be fined $25.00.

Oklahoma

· Criminals can be fined, arrested or jailed for making faces at a dog.

· Whale hunting is strictly forbidden throughout the entire state.

· Females are forbidden from doing their own hair without being licensed by the state.

· Dogs need a mayor-signed permit to congregate in groups of three or more on private property.

· Clinton: Masturbating while watching two people having sex in a car is forbidden.

· Tulsa: Kisses lasting more than three minutes are forbidden.

· Tulsa: Against the law to open a soda bottle without the supervision of a licensed engineer.

Oregon

· A dead person cannot be required to serve on a jury.

Rhode Island

· Newport: Illegal to smoke a pipe after sunset.

· Province: Illegal to sell toothpaste and toothbrush to the same customer on a Sunday.

South Carolina

· Fountain Inn: Horses were once required to wear pants at all times.

South Dakota

· Sioux Falls: Hotels are required by law to furnish their rooms with twin beds only. There should be a minimum of two feet between the beds, and it is illegal for a couple to make love on the floor between the beds.

Tennessee

· It is illegal to use a lasso to catch a fish.

· It is illegal to drive a car while sleeping.

· You can't shoot any game other than whales from a moving automobile.

· Dyersburg: Illegal for a woman to call a man for a date.

· Memphis: Illegal for a woman to drive by herself; "a man must walk or run in front of the vehicle, waving a red flag in order to warn approaching pedestrians and motorists if the vehicle is going over 5 mph".

· Oneida: Forbidden to sing the song "It Ain't Goin' To Rain No Mo'".

Texas

· Criminals are required to give their victims 24 hours notice, either orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed.

· Illegal to raise alligators in your home.

· When two trains meet each other at a railroad crossing, each shall come to a full stop, and neither shall proceed until the other has gone.

· You need a five-dollar permit to go barefoot.

· Kingsville: Two pigs cannot have sex on the city's airport property.

· Lefors: Illegal to take more than three swallows of beer at any time while standing.

· San Antonio: Illegal for both sexes to flirt or respond to flirtation using the eyes and/or hands.

Utah

· Birds have the right of way on all highways.

· A husband is responsible for every criminal act committed by his wife while she is in his presence.

· Utah state legislation outlaws all sex with anyone but your spouse.

· Adultery, oral and anal sex, masturbation are considered sodomy and can lead to imprisonment.

· Sex with an animal - unless performed for profit - however is NOT considered sodomy.

· Polygamy - provided only the missionary position has been applied - is only a misdemeanour.

· It's illegal to climb trees.

· Homeowners are responsible for clearing snow off of municipal sidewalks. If sidewalks is not cleaned within 24 hours after a snowfall, city workers will clean it and the cost will be placed on the homeowners tax bill.

Ottawa

· It is illegal to eat ice-cream on Bank Street on a Sunday.

Toronto

· You can't drag a dead horse down Yonge St. on a Sunday.

Find yourself receiving "BOOTMGR is missing, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" message? Don't stress! Its easier to fix than you think. Here's how:

SOLUTION 1

- Get your Vista installation DVD and pop it into your drive.
- Then restart your computer.
- Set your computer to boot from DVD or CD in your BIOS.

Vista will ask you for language and keyboard layout information, after which you will be asked if you want to re-install Vista or repair your existing installation.
Select Repair. After which Vista's System Recovery Tool will start.

Select Startup Repair and let Vista do its thing! That really is all there is to it!

If that doesn't work try this:

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh launched the country's first locally built nuclear-powered submarine on Sunday, 26th of July, 2009

"Today, we join a select group of five nati

ons who possess the capability to build a nuclear-powered subm

arine," Singh declared in his speech at the eastern naval base of Visakhapatnam.

The submarine launch reflected no aggressive plans by India.

We do not have any aggressive designs, nor do we seek to threaten anyone. We seek an external environment in our region and beyond that is conducive to our peaceful development and the protection of our value systems," Singh said.
A nuclear-powered submarine is a much more complex

platform than any other vessel and India building one on its own is a great achievement. This is the unanimous assessment of officials, be they from the Defence Research and Development
Organisation (DRDO), the Department of Atomic Energy or the Indian Navy.

What enhances the scale of the achievement is that INS Arihant, India’s nuclear-powered submarine, will be fitted with India’s own K-15 ballistic missiles that can be launched from under water. The K-15 missiles, which are already under production, can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads. They have a range of 700 k
m. They are 10.4 metres tall and weigh 6.3 tonnes each.
“This is a very big capability,” a DRDO official said. “It means we can launch missiles with nuclear warheads from ground, drop nuclear bombs from air and also fire them now from under water.”
A nuclear-powered submarine bestowed on India the status of a nation possessing a blue-water navy because the boat can travel far and wide.

While the Navy designed INS Arihant, the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) built the mini-nuclear reactor that powers the submarine, the DRDO developed the K-15 missiles. The K-15 missiles have been test-fired several times from submerged pontoons off the coast of Visakhapatnam. A missile emerging from the water without losing its fire was a technology in itself.
A distinct advantage of a nuclear-powered submarine is that while it can remain under water for a long duration, a diesel-fired submarine has to rise to the surface every day for ejecting the carbon-dioxide produced by the diesel-generator. Otherwise, the boat’s crew will face problem.

“In a nuclear-energy system used in a submarine, there is no emission of carbon-dioxide. It is a clean form of energy,” a DRDO official explained. “The turbine operating on enriched uranium in INS Arihant is a clean system. But a diesel-generator emits carbon-dioxide. You cannot discharge it into the water. So the submarine has to be brought up to the surface every day to eject the carbon-dioxide into the atmosphere.”

Trials to follow

DRDO officials cautioned that while INS Arihant entering water from the dry-dock in the Ship-Building Centre of the Visakhatpatnam harbour on Sunday was an important step forward, making the boat operational would take time. “The submarine will now go for harbour acceptance trials (HATs). Then it will go for sea acceptance trials (SATs). Later it will go down to a certain depth and come up,” they said.

A nuclear-powered submarine was a highly complex platform and safety regulations had to be adhered to. “There are hundreds of systems on the boat. They have to work one after another. This is called setting-to-work. The HATs and SATs will last about a year-and-a-half. This is the most difficult period of activity and you have to do it perfectly. Then the K-15 missiles will be fitted into the boat.”

M. Natarajan, Scientific Advisor to the Defence Minister, was present when the INS Arihant was launched on Sunday.

The project has been named the “Advanced Technology Vessel” (ATV) programme. Vice-Admiral (retired) D.S.P. Varma is the Director-General of the ATV programme.

It's been an exciting nine months since we launched the Google Chrome browser. Already, over 30 million people use it regularly. We designed Google Chrome for people who live on the web — searching for information, checking email, catching up on the news, shopping or just staying in touch with friends. However, the operating systems that browsers run on were designed in an era where there was no web. So today, we're announcing a new project that's a natural extension of Google Chrome — the Google Chrome Operating System. It's our attempt to re-think what operating systems should be.

Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010. Because we're already talking to partners about the project, and we'll soon be working with the open source community, we wanted to share our vision now so everyone understands what we are trying to achieve.

Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. We're designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web. And as we did for the Google Chrome browser, we are going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don't have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates. It should just work.

Google Chrome OS will run on both x86 as well as ARM chips and we are working with multiple OEMs to bring a number of netbooks to market next year. The software architecture is simple — Google Chrome running within a new windowing system on top of a Linux kernel. For application developers, the web is the platform. All web-based applications will automatically work and new applications can be written using your favorite web technologies. And of course, these apps will run not only on Google Chrome OS, but on any standards-based browser on Windows, Mac and Linux thereby giving developers the largest user base of any platform.

Google Chrome OS is a new project, separate from Android. Android was designed from the beginning to work across a variety of devices from phones to set-top boxes to netbooks. Google Chrome OS is being created for people who spend most of their time on the web, and is being designed to power computers ranging from small netbooks to full-size desktop systems. While there are areas where Google Chrome OS and Android overlap, we believe choice will drive innovation for the benefit of everyone, including Google.

We hear a lot from our users and their message is clear — computers need to get better. People want to get to their email instantly, without wasting time waiting for their computers to boot and browsers to start up. They want their computers to always run as fast as when they first bought them. They want their data to be accessible to them wherever they are and not have to worry about losing their computer or forgetting to back up files. Even more importantly, they don't want to spend hours configuring their computers to work with every new piece of hardware, or have to worry about constant software updates. Free GPRS Internet in India on Airtel and now Vodafone

There has been a lot of tricks going round for free internet.

But the most useful ones have been those that give free internet on cellphones even while on the move and even in roaming.

AIRTEL India has been the one cellphone service provider which has been thoroughly used by the youth of India to get free internet, free SMS, free calls and stuff like that for several years now.

The free internet in Airtel SIM cards started with a simple hack that worked on Opera Mini. It was simple, just open Opera Mini and the default Web browser with slightly different access point settings (of Airtel Live). And poof !!! You reached free internet. But that was blocked more than a year ago.

At that time, it was also possible to connect the free internet to a computer too (called tethering in Geekish) by using a proxy IP address. But all that has been blocked too.

Then came TeaShark browser. It also gave free internet access by GPRS on mobile phones by using the Airtel Live connection. But sad to say, that was blocked recently.

But wait, all is not lost, there is still hope for free internet in the form of a h browser called UCweb. It uses a Chinese proxy server, so maybe that is how it evades Airtel's data usage tracker(just a hypothesis, can anyone clarify ?)

UCweb still works (I've been using it for quite some time) but there is a setting that you have to change first before accessing internet through UCWeb.

You have to take Options > Settings > Settings
And remove the tick for Shadow connection and Twi-request

That is the current working hack for free internet in Airtel SIM cards.

What about other Indian mobile service providers ?

A Vodafone hack has also been found. Zoozoos are going to be happy huh ???

Basically, u have to change the GPRS access points settings.

Take an access point and change the following settings.

Advanced Settings:

Once u do this, it should work. If it doesn't, try restarting the phone. Or even reinserting the SIM card.

An additinal tip for those who want to browse from mobile.

Many websites have mobile versions of their sites which load fast and give full control on mobile. (without the need for an advanced javascript supporting browser on mobile)

They are mostly reached by changing "www." with "m."

For example, www.facebook.com becomes m.facebook.com

www.orkut.com becomes m.orkut.com

www.gmail.com becomes m.gmail.com

These mobile sites are useful even on a computer if u have a slow connection and just want to check for small messages.

National Knowledge Network to link 15,000 colleges on Cabinet agenda at 1 GBPS internet connection

THE Union Cabinet on Friday will have on its agenda the launching of the Rs 5,000-crore ‘National Mission in Education in ICT’ project, which envisages the creation of a National Knowledge Network across institutes through a 15 Gigabit broadband connectivity.

A key recommendation of the Sam Pitroda-led National Knowledge Commission (NKC), this project first mooted in 2007 envisages networking across some 15,000 colleges and universities, putting learning material online and sharing the expertise of centres of excellence with institutes spread across the country. With the Cabinet nod for the project, this will be one of the few NKC proposals which has found favour with the Arjun Singh led-HRD Ministry.

The Ministry will be tying up with the Department of Telecom for creation of a countrywide broadband access network by utilising its existing optical fibre network. The Mission is expected to cover some 18,000 colleges eventually and make available facilities like e-books and e-journals in digital libraries

I want to state for the record that I love the Album Thriller and most of the songs in it are timeless. Because CD's had just come in at that time and there was no CD copying or file sharing it became the biggest seller of all time and will remain that way. It is a great album.

But MJ lost his way after that smash hit and except for one or two known songs he made forgettable songs. He probably could have made his living from his royalties of the Beatles songs he purchased for a paltry $47 million and touring the world playings his hits. Instead he started to behave aberrantly. Probably some of the child molestation charges were extortion and blackmail but there was underlying basis as he himself admitted; otherwise this would not have occurred at all.

Neverland Ranch Investigators Discover Corpse Of Real Michael Jackson

SANTA BARBARA, CA—During a search for evidence at the Neverland Valley Ranch, investigators discovered a corpse that has been identified as that of Michael Jackson, Santa Barbara police officials announced Tuesday.

"Coroners have officially pronounced Michael Jackson dead. From what we can tell, he died between 18 and 20 years ago," forensic investigator Tim Holbrooke said. "We are not certain, at this time, who—or what—has been standing trial in that Santa Maria courthouse."

According to Holbrooke, Jackson's corpse was buried just inches below a stretch of the miniature-train tracks that run throughout Neverland. The largely desiccated corpse wore the remains of a red, zipper-covered leather jacket and a single glove.

"We positively identified the body as Jackson by his dental records and DNA," Holbrooke said. "But even before we conducted a single forensic test, we began to suspect that that we'd uncovered the real Michael, and that the disturbing figure claiming to be Jackson was a fake."

Holbrooke said that, although the corpse was in an advanced stage of decomposition, when investigators compared the body to early-career publicity photos of Jackson, they saw a striking resemblance in bone structure and facial features. But when they compared the body to photos taken after 1987, the resemblance was negligible.

"This discovery raises a lot of questions, but it also sheds light on a number of disturbing incidents," Holbrooke said. "Frankly, Jackson had been acting pretty strange."

Forensic experts and music critics are postulating that Jackson was dead before the release of the multi-platinum album Bad. Detectives are currently analyzing the lyrics to "Man In The Mirror" for any clues relating to a look-alike entity that many suspect murdered the youngest member of the Jackson 5 and assumed his identity.

"We believe that Neverland served as some sort of freakishly whimsical tomb constructed by Jackson's killer," Holbrooke said. "We also suspect that all of the iniquities that occurred on that ranch were the work of the imposter. I wouldn't have ever thought it possible, but we are looking at a situation where the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old cancer patient is the tip of the iceberg."

Holbrooke said that, while the living Jackson is the leading suspect in the murder investigation, he "could be another victim of some sort."

Leaked autopsy reveals 'emaciated' dying Michael Jackson

MICHAEL Jackson was anorexic, almost bald and had only pills in his stomach at the time of his death, The Sun newspaper reported yesterday.

Quoting details from a leaked autopsy report, the British tabloid reported that the King of Pop, once famed for his on-stage athleticism, had plunged to a "severely emaciated" 50.8kg.

The paper added there were four injection sites above or near the singer's heart as efforts failed to restart it when Jackson was found unconscious in his rented mansion on Friday.

The singer "was a virtual skeleton - barely eating and with only pills in his stomach at the time he died", the paper said.

His "hips, thighs and shoulders were riddled with needle wounds - believed to be the result of injections of narcotic painkillers, given three times a day for years.

"And a mass of surgery scars were thought to be the legacy of at least 13 cosmetic operations."

The paper quoted a source close to the Jackson entourage as saying: "Michael's family and fans will be horrified when they realise the appalling state he was in.

"His doctors and the hangers-on stood by as he self-destructed. Somebody is going to have to pay."

Arriving at the Black Entertainment Television awards in Los Angeles last night, Michael Jackson's father, Joe, said he "had concerns" about the circumstances surrounding the King of Pop's death.

"I have a lot of concerns but I can't get into that ... I don't like what happened. I wish the world had recognised him when he was living," he said said prior to the ceremony.

Wearing black sunglasses and with a red jacket like the one worn by his son slung over his shoulders, Jackson angered fans by making a commercial plug for his Blue-ray technology business during a live interview on CNN television.

"Talking about Blu-ray technology. That's the next step," Mr Jackson said prompting outrage on the blogosphere.

Making her first appearance since her brother's death, Janet Jackson took to the stage at the end of the awards ceremony and explained that while Michael Jackson was an icon to many people around the world, to the Jacksons "he was family".

"My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful, so they elected me to be here.

"On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all your love. He will forever live in all of our hearts. We miss him so much."

After she spoke, the audience rose in an emotional standing ovation. The Oscar-winning actor and rapper Jamie Foxx then closed the show singing the Jackson 5 hit I'll Be There to a backdrop of photographs of the star, reducing many to tears.

Producers of the annual awards show - which recognises the best in African-American music, acting and sports - revamped the event to meet the moment. Giving out trophies was an afterthought; honouring Jackson became the show's focus.

"This is for you, Michael Jackson," said Beyonce, as she held up her trophy for best female R&B artist. "I have to thank Michael for being my future and my hero."

Meanwhile, speculation mounted over whether Jackson's use of painkillers contributed to his death. Los Angeles County medical examiners completed their autopsy on Saturday and said Jackson had taken unspecified prescription medication.

The Associated Press quoted a lawyer for Jackson's doctor as saying the singer still had a faint pulse and his body was warm when he was found in bed not breathing.

Edward Chernoff, a lawyer for Conrad Murray, said he had never prescribed or given Jackson the drugs Demerol or OxyContin. He also denied reports suggesting Dr Murray gave Jackson drugs that contributed to his death.

Mr Chernoff said Dr Murray was at the pop icon's home when he discovered Jackson in bed and not breathing. The doctor immediately began administering CPR, Mr Chernoff said.

Jackson's family requested a private autopsy in part because of questions about Dr Murray, the Reverend Jesse Jackson said on Sunday.

Dr Murray also told the family that another autopsy should be performed, Mr Chernoff said. There was no word from the Jackson family on funeral plans. Many of Jackson's relatives have gathered at the family's Encino compound, caring there for Jackson's three children.

Baptist minister and family friend Al Sharpton, who arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday, said he was heading to the Jackson compound and would talk to the family about how to memorialise the late pop star. Reverend Sharpton said they wanted to hold memorials around the globe and also planned a memorial service tomorrow at the Apollo Theatre in New York.

Meanwhile, a lawyer for the Jackson family said no one had yet seen the late superstar's will.
