whoa! look! the MB’s one month allowance (over RM28K) can equal to getting one very low cost flat, don’t you think so? and why do they have free water, free electricity, free phone call and so on? to be one with the rakyat, they should be made to pay for all those utilities. after all, they earn so much already! well life’s not fair (it had always been not fair) - the rich who can afford to pay, don’t have to pay while the poor who can’t afford to pay, have to pay!

take a look at the annual holiday allowance - hotel stay cost no limit? wow! this means they can check in the most expensive hotel in the country they visited? not forgetting with their families too.

phew! talk about changing your lifestyle to the rakyat? the MB and the MP should be the one to change their lifestyles!

Do you know how much the Menteri Besar earns monthly?

I called a press conference in Seremban this afternoon to call on the Negeri Sembilan state government to cut down on allowances for the Menteri Besar and EXCO members as a sign of sharing the burden with the people after the huge increase in fuel prices. The PM and Cabinet Ministers had cut 10% of the their entertainment allowances and cap their yearly holiday to ASEAN destinations. This of course not sufficient given the lavish spending by those in power all this while. However, i want to focus on NS state government in this statement.

I call on the MB to cut at least 50% of his and other EXCO’s entertainment allowance and freeze all overseas paid holidays immediately. Do you know how much the MB of Negeri Sembilan earns every month and other perks given to him? Let me just give you a breakdown of his perks:

MB’s allowance: RM14,175.15
ADUN’s allowance: RM 4112.80
Entertainment : RM5,500
Chairman of EXCO: RM4,400

Fixed allowance every month : RM28,187.95

Other perks:

Appointment allowance: RM10,000 $B!J(Bone-off)
Official residence
Furniture allowance: RM5,000 (yearly)
Household staff: real expenses or RM3000 monthly
Free water and electricity
Free telephone services in official residence 2 official car
Driver’s expenses all paid for

On top of that, the MB can enjoy a yearly paid holiday:

2 first class air ticket (no limitation to which destination)
(a first class ticket using MAS for KL-LONDON-KL cost RM30,400)
Economy class ticket for 1 officer and 3 children
Living allowance while overseas RM500 daily
Meal allowance RM300 daily or real expenses
Hotel (no limit, according to receipt)
Winter clothing RM3000 (once every 3 years)

For an EXCO, the monthly fixed allowance are around RM15,222. The exco member also enjoy a free holiday once in a term. The maximum is equal to 2 first class ticket for KL-LONDON-KL or RM30,000 cash.

Do you agree that the MB and the EXCO member should at least slash some the allowances by half to demonstrate ‘leadership by example’? If even the Ministers have to limit their holidays in ASEAN, why can’t the MB? Isn’t the slogan ‘ Cuti-cuti Malaysia ‘ sounds familiar to you?

the hot news now that’s been going around the blogs is about hospital pusrawi’s dr muhammad osman’s medical report that saiful was not sodomised at all. almost every SoPo blog i went to (and of course news portal like malaysiakini too), talks about it. so i’m not going to blog on it. it will be like a repetition. beside, as i had blog yesterday, if you want to catch such interesting news, all you gotta do is hop over to susan loone’s blog.

instead today i will post an interesting forwarded mail, which i believe had been around for some time, but which i only got to know of about 40 days ago. some of you might have missed it, thus i’m posting it here to let everyone read and judge for yourself if you agree with the author or not.

me? of course i agree wholly on the part that the malays are not the original people of malaysia. it had been the orang asli all the while. yet the orang asli’s need are so marginalised. i also agree on the part that since there is proof that the malays are not the orginal people, the umnoputera should stop asking the chinese and indians to go back to their motherland…. because if that’s the case, the malays should also go back to their motherland! (where?).

malay, chinese, indians or lain-lain bangsa, we who were born here, are proud bangsa malaysia, so nobody should ever cry to us ‘"you balik tiong san" or "you balik india" (hear that, those in parliament??). and as a non malay, although i stressed that the malays are not the original people, i do respect the fact that the malays have special priveleges enshrined in the constitution. (but they, esp. umnoputera, should not ‘mis-use’ this privelege to ‘abuse’ the non malays!)

Seen this before.  Our govt. is always trying to change history; just like the Japanese who always say that they did not invade Asia and did not do the Nanking masarcre.
 
As far as I know, the ‘Malays’ are a loose bunch of sea faring people living in the Malay Archipelago (most of it now is called Indonesia).  They composed of many sub-groups like the Bugis, Dayaks, Majapahit, etc.   Some settle here, some settle there in the 15 to 18 century.

Parameswara was just a fugitive from Acheh after some local dispute there.  I don’t think he even have a big ‘kingdom’ when he landed in Malacca.  That’s why he needed help from admiral Cheng Ho when he arrived there.  The Siamese at that time were the most powerful force in the region.  I remember, for him to keep his ‘kingdom’ he has to pay a yearly tribute to them in the form of Bunga Emas and other things.  If the Chinese at that time wanted to dominate the place they could easily do so but they had better things to do.  The whole peninsula was just an uncivilised place even worse than Africa today.  They are no roads, towns etc.  Peninsula Malaysia only attracted the British in the early 19th century because of tin and later the ability to grow rubber.  Earlier, even the British were only interested in Penang and Singapore as ports to resupply their ships to China, Australia and beyond.  So, the Chinese were also one of the early settlers in Malacca and the other parts.  In those days, it was like the wild, wild West.  There is no country as such.  Everybody can claim their piece of land and call it their ‘kingdom’ if they can maintain them or want to stay there.  Remember,its primitive living.  That’s probably the reason why the Chinese emperors were not too interested at that time.
 
For more details, one can refer to The Cambridge University ‘O’ and ‘A’ history of South East Asia with focus on Malaya.   Its probably the most accurate and fair view on the region back then.  Actually, its quite interesting reading especially if you want to know the real story.

Here are the Evidences of the findings by the team of scientists, archaeologist, historian and other technical staff from the United  States ,  United Kingdom  , Germany , Canada , Yemen & Russia .
 
THE EVIDENCE ARE: 
 
1) They finally found the graveyard of Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, etc…, their skeleton
had been analized and samples of DNA taken with the results show :  Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, Hang Lekiu and mates were NOT MALAY!!! They were CHINESE  from China !!!

Why were they here in Malacca???  

If go back in history, you would know that they were on a mission to protect the UNGRATEFUL MALAY Sultanate from the frequent attacks by the Kingdom of  SIAM (Thailand ) !!!
 
So Hang Tuah was not a Malay hero !!!

They were the protectors of the  useless and ungrateful Parameswara (who was from INDONESIA ) landed in Malacca and claimed that the land belonged to him !!!

The Hang Tuah bunch of people were all from China  , they were being assigned to Malacca Sultanate because Parameswara requested the Ming Dynasty Emporer for protection !!!

Hence, the rich historical heritage of the Babas & Nyonya being closely linked to the Seven Voyages to the Western Ocean by Admiral Zheng He who incidentally was a Chinese Muslim himself !
 
That’s why the Hang Tuah series of history is MISSING from the Malaysian SEJARAH today ! ! !

2.  Second Evidence : 

The researchers hired by the government found the oldest tomb stones (graveyard) in Kelantan in year 2000.  Suprisingly the tomb stones were  at least 900 years old !!!
Older than the so-called  batu  bersurat. And the best thing was that they all belonged to the CHINESE !!!
 
Being landed first in  Malacca  doesn’t mean Malay is the first in  Malaysia because during that time, the road was too long or undeveloped for them to reach or see the other side of the coast where the Chinese had landed much earlier.  If you want the black and white hard evidence of what the truth of the Research reveals, please write to The Federal Association of Archaeology & Research of Michigan,  USA .
 
This is a good reason to remind the UMNO Bumiputras to STOP asking the Chinese or Indians to go back to their Motherlands because the evidence had shown that Malays were NOT the original people of  Malaysia  !

yesterday since i was feeling lousy i went to sleep at 10.30pm… very early as i usually sleep at 2.00am. funny thing was that at 11.45pm i suddenly woke up and thought it was already morning the next day (6.30am usual wake up time), time to go for work. i switch on the light, wanted to go and brush my teeth then my mum suddenly said "what’s the matter with you? what are you doing?" "huh" i said, "time to wake up get ready to work". then she told me it was only 11.45pm! haha. what a laugh.

today although i’m feeling better but still tired so will sleep early too. lots of things had been happening but i don’t feel like blogging about them. if you want to read lots of interesting updated news, you should visit susan loone’s blog. i tell you, it looks like that girl blogs non stop! so many latest updated news are all there and she received so many comments. oh yeah, yesterday she just received 2 million hits! in just 2 years! congrats to her and so proud of her, a fellow penangite like me (but not staying in malaysia).

ok as i don’t feel so good, no surfing around the web for news or issues to blog on so i’ll just show you some pictures of the gawai/kaamatan mass held at our church, church of our lady of sorrows. there were over 300 sabahan and sarawakians present! most of them who came, were part of the st anne’s feast pilgrimage tour and all of them were dressed in their traditional wear (black shirt and pants for men or black blouse and sarong skirt for women - trimmed with gold lacing). then of course there were those who were dressed in their traditional costumes - they were the ones who made presentations - during mass entrance procession and so on and during the concert show. ok let the pictures speak for themselves. lots of the different ethnic groups were there, thus you see all the different kind of costumes - very beautiful, colourful, striking, elaborate! this is the main reason i like to attend the gawai/kaamatan mass - i love to see their costumes!

the church of the asumption is one of the 4 churches of ‘city parish, and city parish is the parish i belongs to.

the 2nd picture you see here, shows the CM, lim guan eng and others walking into the church. lots of photographers and reporters followed! well, i was there as a reporter too… to report for our catholic paper, the herald (if not, i con’t be able to be there, being working hours).

the final picture shows the banner announcing the church as a world heritage site. actually the banner read ‘george town world heritage site’ (1st line), ‘church of the assumption congratulates’ (2nd line) and ‘the people of penang’ (last line). i did not manage to get a shot of the whole banner as i wanted to take the UNESCO logo (but missing out on the world heritage logo on the right) and did not have space to stand back to take the whole banner.

well i do have other better pictures but those are reserved for the herald! there were so many photographers around and all were rushing where the CM went, to take the photos. i hardly can find a good view for the shots. i notice i was the only one with this tiny point and shoot digicam while the others all were with big DSLR or pro cameras! they must be wondering who i was, with such lousy camera and joining them together for photo taking! haha!

of course after the CM left the church, i did not follow him along on his tour (next up was the nearby st george’s chuch, an anglican church) since i have to get back to work.

the church of the assumption, as seen by the first picture here, looks might impressive eh? well this church had an interesting history (the root of it being started began in 1786). it was build in 1860, thus it is now 148 years old.  those who are interested to know the history in detailed, can email me.

Umno and its arch-rival PAS will continue to hold meetings but they will be limited to issues pertaining to Islam, said Umno information chief Muhammad Muhd Taib.

islam? religion? but as i had said it before, in our country, religion had always been politicized. so what’s the difference if they meant issues on malay unity too. anyway, if there is to be any muzakarah (dialogue) that centre on religion, all the better if it is a multi-religious one, don’t you think so? yes, all along, we had been calling for an inter-religious dialouge but but oh no, just because some of these islamist think that islam is superior to all religion (remember ‘ketuanan islam’?), islam and the other religions cannot get together. remember the infamous article 11 road-show forum? how it was disrupted by a mob in penang? (also in johor, but not so serious).

i can’t understand having a dialogue with your own religion. looks might strange to me. we would prefer dialogue with other religions so as to get a more better undertanding of the other religions. what for we dialogue with our own religion when we already know about our own religion? what for we dialogue with our own religion if we are secure about our own religion already? what for we dialouge with our own religion if we know we are already united as people of one religion? ahhhh!! that’s it!

that’s it! no more strange! umno is insecure! umno knows now they are not united. shame, shame!

Asked if there is a possibility of PAS crossing over into Barisan Nasional, Muhammad said this was not discussed at the three-hour meeting.

YA ALLAH!! PAS, don’t you sell us out - the non malays who voted for you, ok!! we voted for you, not for umno! (ya i know he mentioned BN but we all know that BN is umno, umno is BN).

well, we heard PAS youth chief saying:

"We will definitely oppose anyone who tempt us into accepting positions
because we belong to a principled party," he said.

Salahuddin stressed that PAS is governed by values and a strong mandate from voters.

"We are not interested in any of their (Umno) offerings even if they offer
me the post of prime minister," he said.

"governed by values and a strong mandate from voters" - good for you salahuddin! yes, as i said, we voted for your party and if your party enter into an alliance with umno, 5 years time, we’ll know what to do.

salahudin also said that if there is such kind of relationship, it can only be a muzakarah
(dialogue) for the sake of nation building.

"Such talks should also not use Malay unity as an excuse as it would make it seem as if both parties were the same entity," he said.

ahh. at least we have one sensible person here from PAS. ohh… PAS’s spiritual leader, nik aziz is ok too since right in the beginning he had disagree with the meeting with umno but PAS’s president, abdul hadi awang agreed! *sigh*

why he did not have the legal standing? i thought he was holding a watching brief for sharribuu, altantuya’s dad - not consider as legal standing? well i suppose even if some other people with legal standing did made the application (but will they ever?), the judge will reject the application too. "this involve the no. 2 man, you know. don’t play play lah you!!"

yes, what stupid idiot prosecution is that?? the whole altantuya’s trial in bolehland is a sham and mockery! i wonder if the altantuya’s trial can be brought to international court? sack all the prosecution lawyers and hire foreign prosecution who do not have to be afraid of the no. 2 man in bolehland! the prosecution is suppose to be on altantuya’s side but it looks like they are not! remember the part where altantuya’s cousin, burma, mentioned najib’s name - the prosecution instead of pursuing it further, hushed it all up! why? they have no guts!

An evening with an ‘accomplice’

I am now facing one sedition charge and three criminal defamation charges. They say Muslims are allowed four and I have just reached my limit of four. Nevertheless, my great-grandfather, Sultan Ala’eddin Suleiman Shah, the Fifth Sultan of Selangor, had ten wives. He also had 44 children from these ten wives, my grandmother, Tengku Badariah, being one of those 44. Needless to say, with the track record set by my great-grandfather, would I be satisfied with stopping at just four? Certainly not! And, today, I am going to chalk up my fifth ‘criminal charge’, whatever that charge is going to be.

Today, in the spirit of my fifth criminal charge, I am going to make another ‘seditious’ or ‘criminal defamation’ allegation against Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak, in the spirit of what Anwar Ibrahim said to CNN last week (see the CNN report here: http://72.47.236.85/2008/content/view/10077/1/ ). And this allegation is that Najib met Saiful to discuss the sodomy allegation against Anwar and for no other reason other than that — and certainly not to discuss the young man’s future career or scholarship.

This time I am going for broke. This time I am prepared to go to jail for a long, long time just to make sure that Najib is not going to become Prime Minister of Malaysia in June 2010. Yes, I know I am headed for a fall, but I am going to bring Najib down with me. We shall both hit the dirt and become history, side-by-side.

And how will that happen? Well, this time I video-recorded a ‘confession’ session. And the video recording is now in a safe place, ready to surface during my trial when they charge me for this newest ‘crime’, whatever that crime is going to be.

The gist is as follows. When Saiful went to meet Najib, he brought a friend along. And this friend has confessed to the entire thing in a video recording, which I now have in my possession. So bring it on. Give me all you’ve got. Charge me and let us see what happens in court.

Yes, Najib met Saiful to discuss how to fix Anwar on a sodomy allegation. No doubt, at first Najib denied all this. At first he said he never met Saiful, not even once in his life. Then he admitted meeting Saiful but said he met Saiful to offer the young man ‘career guidance’ and to discuss his future, scholarship, and all such matters. The first statement was a lie. The second was also a lie. Najib met Saiful to discuss the sodomy allegation against Anwar.

If Najib can lie so many times with regards to his meeting with Saiful, would he not also be capable of lying about never meeting or knowing Altantuya? What would Najib say if during my trial I adduce a military intelligence report dated when Altantuya was still alive which confirms that he was involved romantically (or ‘involved sexually’ would probably be the more appropriate word to use) with Altantuya?

Sure, charge me. Put me on trial. Even obtain a conviction and send me to jail if you wish. Hey, I am 58. By the time I go to jail I would probably be 60, if I happen to still be around and not already dead by then. So, you can send me to jail, but for how long? What difference does it make when I am no longer alive anyway? And I really don’t expect to live to a ripe old age of 83 like Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Najib, however, will never become Prime Minister in June 2010. And that is worth going to jail for, however long the sentence may be.

“What questions are you going to ask me?”

“No questions. We will not treat this as an interview. You just relax and relate what happened, like a story-telling session, and then I will video-record everything you say.”

“What exactly do you need me to say?”

“I suppose you can just relate how you first met Saiful, how he came to be employed by Parti Keadilan Rakyat, what he did in the office, and anything else you know about his allegation that Anwar sodomised him. The best thing is for you to relax and speak naturally, like you are telling a story, no questions and answers session which will make you stiff and not look natural.”

“Okay, if I make any mistake you will edit the tape?”

“No, we will not edit anything. That will tantamount to tampering with the evidence. Never mind if you make a mistake. Just repeat what you said or start over again. This video recording is not for broadcasting. This is for internal use only. We shall keep the recording in a safe place in case the police arrest you and force you to make a statement against your will. Then, if the police charge you for anything, we will be reveal this tape to prove that what you told the police under duress is different from what you said tonight. That is why you must speak naturally and not look stiff or like you are being forced to say whatever you are going to saying. This video recording is for your protection to ensure that they will not arrest you and force you to make any statement that is not true.”

“Okay.”

“Let me know when you are ready. Drink some water to clear your throat and finish your cigarette first. Then we will start. Be comfortable and don’t worry. No need to even look at the camera if that makes you uncomfortable. Speak to me. Look at me and talk. It is easier when you speak to a person than to the camera.”

Sessions starts and he relates his story. After 15 minutes he gestures for the camera to be switched off and I oblige.

“I am not sure whether I want this next part recorded on camera.”

“Never mind. We can record it anyway and then if you feel it is damaging it need never surface.”

“I would rather get my lawyer’s advice first before this second part is recorded because it implicates Najib in the sodomy allegation against Anwar.”

“Okay, we can leave the camera off and you can relate the second part off-camera. Then we decide later if it should be recorded or not.”

“This second part is about our meeting with Najib.”

“Oh, you also went to see Najib?”

“Actually, I did not know why we were going to see Najib. Saiful just said that he wanted to go and see Najib and he wanted me to follow him. So I followed him. I was present when Saiful discussed with Najib about the sodomy allegation against Anwar. I did not know he was going to see Najib about that.”

“You did not know he was going to see Najib about the sodomy allegation?”

 “No, he did not tell me.”

“Was it staged?”

“Staged?”

“Yes, did Najib already know what Saiful was seeing him about or did Najib not know beforehand?”

“I don’t know.”

“Did Najib appear shocked or surprised or did he look like he already knew what they were going to talk about?”

“Najib looked very natural.”

“So Najib did not look shocked or surprised?”

“No.”

“So, from Najib’s reaction, he appeared like he already knew what they were going to discuss. Only you did not know. What about the other people in the room?”

“They also did not look surprised.”

“So it appeared like everyone in the room, except you, already knew what Saiful was going to talk to Najib about.”

“Maybe.”

“But why go to Najib to talk about this? Why not go to the police or the religious department?”

“I don’t know.”

“Did Najib offer any advice?”

“No.”

“Did Najib ask Saiful to make a police report?”

“No, he just listened.”

“Did Najib ask Saiful: ‘why come to me to complain? What has Anwar sodomising you got to do with the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia’?”

“No.”

“Do you think that maybe all this was a show just for your benefit? The fact that everyone appeared to already know what the discussion was all about, except you, appears like they wanted you, an ‘outsider’, to hear the discussion.”

“I am not sure.”

“Before the visit to Najib’s office, has Saiful ever told you or anyone else in the office that Anwar sodomised him?”

“No.”

“So the first time you heard of this was when Saiful brought you to meet Najib.”

“Yes.”

“Did Saiful discuss anything else with Najib like a scholarship or something like that?”

“No.”

“They just discussed the sodomy matter?”

“Yes.”

extremist chinese and indians? extremist DAP and hindraf? doesn’t that sound racial and seditious? oh no, it doesn’t when it come from an umnoputera. just imagine if lim kit siang or karpal singh were to say "those extremist umno" - wahh! all those umnoputera will made noises! police will give them warning! some umnoputera or non umnoputera malays will made police report against them. but ah… it comes from a former MB, an umnoputera at that, so no action at all. lesson no. 1 from bolehland malaysia - 2 sets of rules - 1 for umnoputera and one for non umnoputera (particularly opposition).

imagine this - penang CM, lim guan eng, calling on chinese unity, chinese unity is the basis to all unity in penang. what do you think will happen? no prize for the correct guess. then imagine… oh no, no need to imagine… it happened! few days ago the PM was saying something about focusing on malay unity because malay unity means national unity. wow!! did he mean malay unity or umno unity? doesn’t that sound familiar? remember several months ago the kelantan crown prince was saying something like that, which get not only non malays but some malays too jumped up! 

is the PM a PM for malaysians or for malays? why was he calling on malay unity? yes, so he revealed the secret - that he had met PAS to discuss malay unity.  just imagine if MCA suddenly reveal that they had met DAP to discuss chinese unity - all hell will break loose! (among the umnoputera that is). the umnoputera will accused MCA of ’sleeping with the enemy’.  the umnoputera will attack DAP as chinese racist party. the umnoputera will say the chinese are going to take over the country! blah blah blah…

btw, why all these talk about malay unity? as one commenter at lim kit siang rightly say so:

If at all the Malays can be united, then there won’t be so many factions of Malays and the previous Prime Ministers need not shout for Malay unity. And this is a total disgrace to UMNO who displays this shameful signboard with the name “UNITED MALAYS NATIONAL ORGANIZATION” when it has failed to even unite malays within any given state in Malaysia since its inception in 1946. So how can it claim this name and that it has achieved National Unity among the Malays? Such a disgrace!!!!!

umno is a disgrace…to the malays. umno’s interest is for thier own only, never for the grassroot malays. they are only concerned about filling thier pockets. why, we have the richest man in malaysia - the PM! (not robert kuok or anandan) and the richest unemployed in malaysia - his son in law!
